This $7500 walked me away from the deal today and quite frankly has left myself and my family so upset. I talked to Ford direct and other dealer that confirmed this should not be happening because Ford agreed not to mark allow dealer up their vehicles. I spent all day, 11:15 to 6.15 trying to buy a Ford Mustang Mach-e and This dealer charges $7500 more on top of msrp. The dealership on the other hand only cares about there over priced markup cars. The salesman James truly cares about his customer. If you buy from this dealer just be prepared on what the vehicle might look like or in this case smell like too. In my opinion the salesman is a typical sneaky salesman and by the posting it seems like the owner might be the same way. Knowing how much he lied about the vehicle upfront just made me wonder what else was wrong with the vehicle mechanically. He said it's used so this is what you get. This was a 2016 vehicle so all the problems it had didn't just seem like wear an tear but he acted like I was an idiot an that I should of known that the vehicle was going to look like that. ![]() I talked to the salesman that I talked with on the phone and all he had to say was it was all wear an tear an thar I was being to picky. There was also somthing sticky all over the carpet in the back. The driver side sear had a huge hole in the side of it where it looked like it got cut out and not just from wear. The inside of the vehicle smelled like it had mold in it there was pieces missing from the overhead storage compartment. The lower Part of the bumper was disconnected and it had been hit before cause it was spider cracked all over. I over looked the outside of the vehicle and there was rust all over the edge of the hood about 2 inches up, and they just painted over it. Well I was fooled I went there to look at the vehicle and the posting said it had remote start but when I got the key there was no fob to do the remote start, so I asked if there was a key fob that went with the vehicle and he said no but he could program one to unlock the car. I told the guy I was going to have to drive 1 hour and 30 minutes just to get there and to please be honest about its condition. I was skeptical by the posting because it said the exact same thing. I called the dealer about a vehicle that I was interested in purchasing and the salesman led me to believe that the vehicle was in excellent condition inside and out. RAY: If it turns out that quality is job two or three (behind new car sales and non-warranty work) and Mercury won?ot take responsibility for the defective pump, then spend the money and get it replaced yourself. Afterall, quality is job one over there, isn?ot it? TOM: In which case, you should do your best to shame the Mercury dealer into paying for part of the repair. But if the filter is clean, I?od say the pump was probably defective. It?os possible that a plugged fuel filter is responsible for straining the pump, and causing it to fail prematurely. RAY: But it IS strange for the fuel pump to wear out after only 36,000 miles. TOM: And third, burying the fuel pump in the gas tank means it?os a lot harder to replace, so they can charge you a couple of hundred bucks for a new one when it starts to hum. If you mount it underneath the car, it?os subject to dirt and grime and squished possum and who knows what else? Second, the pump stays clean and protected inside the gas tank. First, it keeps the fuel under pressure all the way along the line, so the possibility of vapor lock is reduced. And yes, the fuel pump IS in the gas tank. RAY: But in your case, it probably IS the fuel pump, Bill. TOM: Well, Bill, whenever I hear a weird humming coming from behind me, I always check the back seat first to make sure it?os not my brother doing his cajun rendition of "Danke Shoen." I was amazed to hear of the pump?os location. A mechanic friend told me it was coming from the fuel pump in my gas tank. I have just noticed a humming noise coming from the rear end of my car. I have a 1989 Grand Marquis with 36,000 miles on it.
